Yew Bow

This commission was completed in early November 2009. The majority of the scroll is based on an Italian book of hours, c. 1480, made for Galeazzo di Sanseverino, now in the V&A. The central miniature is an adaptation of an earlier image of a trebuchet (c. 1400) that was modified to blend with the overall style of the scroll. On opaline vellum with handground pigments bound with glair.
